Limerick Resident Volunteers at Boston Marathon

ANNVILLE PA – Kaylee Scheirer, a Limerick resident, was one of six Lebanon Valley College graduate students who worked Oct. 8-10 (2021) during the Boston Marathon as a volunteer medical worker.

Scheirer is pursuing a master’s degree in athletic training degree at the college, located in Annville. She is a Spring-Ford Area High School alum.

She and her colleagues continued a long-time Lebanon Valley tradition that traces back to 2011, the college said. That’s when Dr. Joe Murphy, who serves as its director and associate professor of athletic training, began volunteering as a medical advisor for the historic race.
