JENKINTOWN, PA — A Montgomery County woman is behind bars after police said she sold a man opioids and he died from an overdose in his hotel room shortly thereafter.

Corrine Marie Smith, 42, of Jenkintown, faces drug delivery resulting in death and related counts in the death of Matthew Graham, a 33-year-old Bensalem man.

The incident occurred back on June 11, 2020 in the Penn Lodge Hotel in Bensalem.

Investigators reviewed cellphone and GPS data, as well as Facebook messages, to determine that Smith had agreed to sell drugs to Graham on that day.

Graham was found dead in the hotel room the next day, where chemical testing confirmed he had fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine in his system, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Smith is also charged with possession with intent to deliver, recklessly endangering another person, involuntary manslaughter, and criminal use of a communication facility.

She was arraigned on Monday and bail was set at $500,000.

A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
