Pope John Paul II 13, Upper Perkiomen 12 (OT) >> The Golden Panthers mounted a furious second-half comeback to force overtime Wednesday against the Indians.
Rory Nilsen and Kallan Bustynowicz both scored five goals for PJP, which trailed 10-3 at halftime.
MarkyKate Sitko and Lindsay Bieler tallied hat tricks for Upper Perk, tallying two and one assist, respectively. Bella Carpenter added a pair of goals and a pair of assists for UP. Abby Orsini tallied two goals and an assist for UP.
Kyra Lesko and Mia Schneider also scored for the Indians.
Phoenixville 15, Pottsgrove 9 >> Alana Lathan’s six goals proved the difference in the Phantoms win over the Falcons on Wednesday.
Andrea Hook added a hat trick while Jamie Michaud (assist), Teenie Sposato (assist) and Gianna Thaxton scored two goals apiece for the Phantoms. Lucy O’Donnell, Natalie White and Kira O’Donnell tallied assists, and goalie Maddy Schramm made 15 saves.
Alaura O’Neill led Pottsgrove with four goals, and Sydney Wasdick contributed a hat trick and three ground balls. Riley Simon finished off the Falcons’ scoring with two goals, also grabbing seven ground balls.
Sydney Tornetta had two assists and Katie Bean one and Lily Guerrette and Makenzie Johnson both saved three shots in net.
Owen J. Roberts 19, Boyertown 5 >> Gabbi Koury and Alexa Vogelman scored six goals apiece in Wednesday’s win over the Bears.
Gracyn Smith (two), Emily Himmelreich, Blakely Doyle, Ava Clemson and Kalli Mullen rounded out OJR’s scorers. Smith added five assists and Koury three with Himmelreich and Vogelman each tallying one. Korrigan Sweeney made three saves.
For Boyertown, Delaney Fox scored twice and Emma Beidler, Jordan Woodring, Alina Friz and Jasmine Fink added a goal apiece. Beidler, Allie Schell and Fink had assists for the Bears.
Upper Merion 12, Pottstown 1 >> Cat Merritt’s five goals led the way for the Vikings in Wednesday’s victory over the Trojans.
Julianna Callison (two assists) and Olivia Smith (assist) both scored twice for UM with Ashley Evitts (assist), Riley Robinson and Brooke Olsen (assist) also adding goals. Sam Walmsley tallied four assists and Bella DiSanto one.
Destri Roye scored a goal and Dashawnia Dean made five saves for Pottstown. Upper Merion’s Anya Waller saved four of the five shots that came her way.
Daniel Boone 13, Kutztown 1 >> Kristen DiNolfi had perfect day at the plate going 4-for-4, including three homers as the Blazers won in a Mercy-rule induced five innings on Wednesday.
Dani Hayes tallied two hits, including a homer, for Boone and tossed three scoreless innings in the circle.
Owen J. Roberts 11, Perkiomen Valley 2 >> OJR’s Natalie Alldred used her arm and her bat to help coach Stacey Kushner get her first win as a Wildcat on Wednesday against PV.
Alldred pitched a complete game, striking out 10 batters, and also added a two-run home run.
Sam Walsh went 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs scored. Claudia Alldred went 3-for-4 with a triple.
For PV, Kinsey Moses had a 3-for-4 day, including a double, and Josie Strechay tallied two hits.
Hill School 246, Hun School 255 >> Lucas Steinmetz birdied his last two holes to finish as low scorer with a one-under 35 Wednesday in the Blues’ MAPL home win.
Billy Gussler followed Steinmetz with a two-over 38, the third best round of the day, and Thomas Beaudoin added a third sub-40 round with a three-over 40. Nick Raffetto and Terry Shao followed with 44s.
Shao, Evan Sun (46), Andres Villarreal (46) and Patrick Dollhopf (49) all saw action in their first varsity match and all handled themselves well.
Daniel Boone 3, Manheim Central 0 >> The Blazers won Wednesday’s game in straight sets of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-12.
Logan Emory tallied 10 kills, one block, and one ace; Ian Wright tallied 31 Assists, one ace; and Josh Smith tallied six kills, two blocks and one ace.
