Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board is excited to welcome the Pro Breaking Tour to Montgomery County for the A.Fatti Philly Open competition. This weekend, some of the best Breakers and All Styles dancers in the world will battle it out for over $11,000 in cash and prizes.
The competition will be held from August 13th – 15th at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa.
Breaking, or breakdancing, was recently recognized by the International Olympic Committee as an elite sport. Breaking will officially be on the roster of competitive events, making it debut at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The A.Fatti Philly Open is officially part of the Pro Breaking Tour and the Silverback Bboy Events.
In addition to hosting the regular competition tournament, A.Fatti will be hosting the World Kids Breaking Championship US qualifiers and sending the winner to Europe for the World Finals in 2022.
“Our team has been working on the A.Fatti Philly Open for a while now and we are super excited for it to finally come to fruition, as we will be shining a light on all of the elements of Hip Hop (Breaking, DJing, MCing and Graffiti) throughout the weekend,” said Allen Belfatti, founder of A.Fatti.
“It is an amazing time for breaking in particular as we watch what was born on the street, to now officially part of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. We are also truly honored to have the A.Fatti Philly Open be part of the Pro Breaking Tour and Silverback Bboy Events, and look forward to growing this event significantly every year.”
Athletes, coaches, and spectators alike can follow along and watch these amazing breakers all weekend. By checking into any of the nearby hotels in Montgomery County, visitors can make a weekend to remember and explore the vast number of restaurants, arts and culture, and opportunities for an adventure at the Philly Open Breaking Competition.
