It’s likely not how any of them pictured finishing up their high school careers.
But COVID-19 has thrown the world into disarray. It has closed businesses, forced people to stay in their homes and closed schools.
It has also force school districts to adjust how they celebrate graduates.
With a large, in-person gathering out of the question, Boyertown High School went virtual. The school district’s web page features both a video celebrating and congratulating graduating seniors and one honoring award winners from the class.
On top of that, students were given the chance to, one-by-one, visit the high school auditorium Monday and Wednesday for a mock ceremony. Students, decked out in cap and gown, were able to walk across the stage, grasp a diploma and pose for pictures.
The graduation videos can be found on the Boyertown School District website at www.boyertownasd.org.
