Abington Friends School (AFS), for students age 3 through grade 12,  is hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 16 at 1 p.m. This will be their first in-person Open House since February 2020.

The Open House invites families to AFS’s beautiful 50-acre Jenkintown campus to take a look into classrooms and experience the culture of the school community.

A campus visit and presentations by students and faculty are essential to feel connected to AFS and learn more about the school’s powerful academic program.

“AFS is the best school, hands down. Abington Friends School is well-rounded, offering diversity, academics, and the opportunity to develop each child’s individual voice without being judged or compared. AFS meets each child where they are and helps them reach their full potential.” – Lower School Parent P’30

At AFS, they approach education with bold convictions. As a Quaker community, they believe in the remarkable potential of each student and in the deep human capacity for goodness and growth.

The guiding goal of every intellectual adventure is to reach deeper understanding, build the powers of analytical and creative thinking, and strong, clear self-expression.

AFS has really helped me to challenge myself and understand what college-level classes feel like. It has offered me space to push myself while still having an active support system,” says Isabelle ’19.

In addition to the October 16th Open House, AFS also has an Open House on November 2, which is Election Day. Vote and visit to see classes in action!

They also have a Virtual Open House option on Tuesday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. Become a ‘Roo in 2022.
